After months of collaboration between Suffolk University, Sametz Blackstone, and Viridian Spark, phase 1 of the new Suffolk.edu is live! The new site is a reflection of Suffolk University’s energetic urban campus, the determination and intelligence of the school’s students, alumni, faculty, and staff, and the deep commitment to excellence that permeates the school’s culture. Our recent re-branding project with the school is reflected in the look, feel, and content of the new site, and we’re excited to see where this new resource will take them. Keep an eye out for ongoing additions, as well as phase 2, which will include launch of new sites for Sawyer Business School, Suffolk Law School, the College of Arts & Sciences, and more.

We’ve had the opportunity to work with them on a host of branding, communications, and digital projects, and this newly finished product reflects the creativity and excellence their team has brought, and continues to bring both to our shared enterprise, and to the work they do. The enhanced website allows advisors and investors to quickly access original research and detailed information about alternative investment strategies and Direxion’s investment products.

We recently signed on to collaborate with the communications and marketing team at Franklin W. Olin College of Engineering, in Needham, MA, on a refresh of their brand foundation and look and feel. This rapidly rising star in the engineering education space is one to watch, and we’re proud to be a part of the effort to promote their unique perspective and programming. After spending time on the campus and getting to know the faculty and students a little better, we’re impressed by the personality, warmth, and unique spirit of their community. We look forward to what we create together!

We’ve just completed a comprehensive audit and analysis of the Mount Ida College brand, and offered our recommendations for their communications efforts in the years to come. There are many exciting opportunities afoot as we enter the next phase of creating a new brand and communications (including a new website) for this private college in Newton, MA that combines liberal arts education with career-focused training. We’re proud to be collaborating with Mount Ida to generate the interest and support they deserve.

You don’t have to have spent a ton of time in Boston to know about the Walk for Hunger: an annual 20-mile trek aimed at raising funds for, and raising the profile of, anti-hunger programs throughout Massachusetts. But Project Bread is doing much more than walking—and they’re ready to share their work and vision with a much broader audience. Sametz Blackstone is on board to help refine Project Bread’s brand foundation (the first of a number of communication tasks), and to help them to connect with people and groups who care deeply about what they do, and the impact it has on our state. Our first lesson? We’ve learned that the opposite of “hungry” isn’t “full,” but rather, “healthy.” It’s a new and powerful way of looking at the problem of hunger—and a paradigm shift we’re excited to support.

If you look out the front windows of the brownstone that houses our team in Boston’s South End, you get a clear view of Blackstone Square… and beyond that, Blackstone Elementary School. Every day, we see crowds of kids coming together to learn, to play, and to grow into the best people they can be. Friends of Blackstone School was convened to provide the school community-based support in reaching its goals and providing the best experience possible for a very special group of young people. We’re proud to have donated our services to create a logo, a visual system, and a simple WordPress website to help the Friends share their vision and successes with supporters in Boston and beyond.
